About Me

Margo B. Minissian, PhD, RN, ACNP-BC, CNS, NEA-BC, FAAN is the Executive Director, Nursing Innovation and Research for the Cedars Sinai Health System and the Simms/ Mann Endowed Chair of Nursing Education, Innovation and Research. She is a Faculty Research Scientist, Assistant Professor of Cardiology and holds a joint Faculty appointment at the University of California, Los Angeles School of Nursing. She holds National Board Certifications as a Nurse Executive- Advanced and as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner from the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She is also Nationally board certified as a Clinical Lipid Specialist from the Accreditation Council for Clinical Lipidology. As the Executive Director for Nursing Innovation and Research, Dr. Minissian has worked diligently to reduce nurse sensitive indicators, increase nurses who submit and receive research funding and publish their findings among Cedars-Sinai nurses. Dr. Minissian is quickly becoming the go to expert for hospital systems-based nursing innovation. She and her team are building the Center for CARE Transformation and Nursing Innovation. A state-of-the-art facility designed to provide cutting-edge resources, research and support to nurses to improve patient care and outcomes through innovative practices and technology. As a prevention scientist and Acute care nurse practitioner, Dr. Minissian is the Director of the Postpartum Heart Health Program, Registry and Biorepository which has been designed to help identify, risk stratify and treat women who experience adverse pregnancy outcomes. Her National Institutes of Health (NIH) funded studies focus on women with adverse pregnancy outcomes. Dr. Minissian completed her biological research PhD at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Nursing, was a UCLA Dean’s Scholar Fellow and a UCLA Regents Scholar. She is published in 60 peer reviewed journals.
